BIOGRAPHY-
"I had the type of mother that wanted to photograph every living second of her child's life. It reached the point where me and my sister would put on our Sunday best, and hide behind the sofa, waiting in fear for my Mum the 'paparazzo' to give up the hunt…and that was only last week"
- Angelo Kehagias
Life was tough growing up with this debilitating condition, but Angelo triumphed against all odds and managed to turn his childhood trauma into a career.
Angelo is best known for his work in the music industry where he has carved out a niche as a portrait and artwork photographer with a unique cinematic style. Angelo has completed campaigns for EMI Music, Universal, Sony Music, Sony Music(UK), Warner Music, Mercury Records, Capitol, Ivy League records, ABC music and the cream of Australia's independent acts. He is also a regular editorial contributor to Groupie Magazine, and has had his images published in NME, Rolling Stone, Jmag, Cream, Dumbofeather, Yen and Summer Winter. He has also produced cover shots for Drum Media, Inpress, Brag & Rave Magazine. Angelo is also the resident photographer at one of Sydney's premier live venues the Hordern Pavillion, and is always on hand to cover both local and international acts in action.
Angelo's cinematic style and ability as a photographic storyteller, has translated perfectly to the world of advertising where he has recently shot lifestyle campaigns for Art Series Hotels, Walker Corporation, Chapel st Precinct and Noggin Communications.
Angelo is also renowned for his documentary photography, and has covered a variety of international and national events including London Fashion Week, Sydney Fashion Week, Glastonbury Festival, The Big Day Out, Notting Hill Carnival, Future Sounds Festival, Easter Show, Red Bull International B- Boy battle, and Sydney Roller Derby League.
When Angelo is not working with clients, he is obsessively photographing every second of his 9 month old son George's new life. Angelo finds happiness in the small things, like when a publication credits him for a photo, and spells his surname correctly.
